Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
