Exactly four and a half months after Russell Martin's initial media briefing as the club's manager, his replacement Danny Rohl faced the media at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the challenge ahead of him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and disappointing four-month tenure.

The former Wednesday boss was accompanied by club chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and chief executive Stewart.

But what precisely was revealed from the young German's first public appearance as Rangers boss?

The Manager's Primary Focus - Winning Comes First

One thing came through loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation in front of the Scottish media - he understands the necessity to secure victories, and do so quickly.

The previous manager Martin managed just 17 matches and four months in charge, so the inquiry arose about how long the new man thinks is realistic to turn around the struggling team.

While skillfully avoiding a direct answer that might create future pressure, the coach's communication was quite clear.

"Hopefully very quickly," he said. "This is essential.
"In football you have not much time. You can discuss long-term vision but it's understood it concerns immediate results and the short-term is about winning games. This is my requirement.
"One thing is also obvious - I require all players to understand our intended to play. I return to my main theme: it's winning, it's attractive and it's together. By following this order, I'm convinced that I will remain for years at the club."

Pressure is Standard

The previous manager needed a police escort to exit the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've seen how toxic environments can turn at football clubs when performances decline. Protests have nearly become an expected aspect of game day atmosphere on both sides of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question was posed about what qualities Rohl believes he has that would enable him to handle, never mind excel, in one of the highest-pressure positions in British football?

"In my opinion pressure in this business are standard," he stated. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I think certain individuals could reference my youth but I have been 16 years on this path. I experienced a great opportunity to work with Bayern Munich and serve as only an assistant manager, but I experienced what it means to be a head coach and the demands you face.
"When you start winning games and then some critics claim you need to play attractive football. That becomes the stage but precisely my intention. I relish those expectations and I look forward for what's ahead."

The Sporting Director Explains Striker Acquisition & Hiring His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of inquiries from the media directed at Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the appointment of Robbie Thelwell as head of recruitment, with supporters skeptical about his credentials for the role.

Nevertheless, he defended and clarified the choice to recruit his son to Ibrox.

"It remains uncomfortable to listen and optically I believe we all agreed when we made this step to hire him that he would be seen negatively," Thelwell stated.
"The truth of the situation is that we want to bring the top talent to this club.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he required no my assistance in soccer.
"He served at Villa as head scout, after which he moved to Norwich as head of scouting and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Before we hiring him, multiple top division clubs wanted to sign him. What we did right at the start of proceedings was discuss with Patrick, Andrew and deputy chairman Marathe about this situation.
"I was highly transparent and I think Robbie probably underwent a more rigorous process than anybody else employee by the team.
"What I do know is that he'll labor constantly to achieve success for Rangers and I'm looking forward seeing him proving that he'll become an excellent staff member for Rangers."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported first payment of eight million pounds, having failed to score in 24 games for his previous club.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portuguese youth international to Merseyside from Sporting - once more for significant money in a £15m deal.

He was asked if he supports his expensive signing, who is yet to score in seven outings for Rangers.

"Yes, very much so," Thelwell responded. "I believe the striker is a player who's possesses huge potential.
"I've never doubted him whatsoever. Similarly, I think the manager will assist in maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very early days for the young player, he's a promising prospect and of course with inexperienced players they occasionally take time.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his career here he'll demonstrate that he is very, very good player."

Stewart Understands Supporters' Frustration and Hurt

The chief executive was facing firing line, given the criticism that has been aimed at him by some of the club's fans.

There was even a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to depart before they were packed for them.

Similar to the football director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I totally understand the disappointment and anger that fans are experiencing because results this season haven't been expectations and nobody's satisfied with them," he said.
"The pain and disappointment they feel is mirrored inside the leadership.
"Also understand that there must exist an outlet for that dissatisfaction and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as lightning rod for such issues and my role as a
