Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
